PETRA GRIES

Biography

Petra is a classical trained Pianist and Church musician based in Germany. She was born in Völklingen, Germany. In the age of 7 she got  Piano lessons by the cantor Mr. Hans-Josef Hümbert. Because her Teacher was Kantor, Petra was very inspired und so she began a training as a Organist in the age of  11. Petra became Part time Organist in the church municipality St. Josef  in  Völklingen – Wehrden. After a few years Petra focused in Pop music for some time. She made a sound engineering course & internship in a recording studio and start to compose  and sing her own songs. By Jean-Pierre Valance she get her first record-contract and she sang as a background-singer with PM Sampson.

In the year 2000 Petra started her carrer as Pianist and Piano-Teacher. At first she play french chansons in french and luxembourgish Hotels and Piano Bars and changed again to classical music. Petra often plays for weddings and Galas. Finally she gives classical concerts, compose classical sounds and is international available for booking in Crossover-Projects and Jazz / Pop / Chanson – Concerts.

Petra speaks French, English, Italian and German.
